A Bus Stand
A Bus Stand
A
bus stand is a busy place where bus stops for a while to get the passengers
into the bus and to get down from the bus. Generally it is situated at the
junction of the roads or beside a market. People wait for the bus arrival. In
some bus stands there are counters for ticket and passengers stand in a line
for buying tickets. It is a busy and noisy place. We can hear the shouting of
the helpers, conductors and hawkers. Many
types of hawkers are available who sell bread, cigarette, fruit, newspaper etc.
Some street beggars cry in loud voice to draw the passengers’ attention. There
are a few big bus stands located at the district headquarters. Besides these
big bus-stands, there are some temporary bus stands. When a bus comes, people
do hurry get into the bus. They push one another to get on it. At that time the
drivers and the conductors are also very busy. Most of the buses are found
crowded. So, thieves, and pickpockets sometimes try to misguide the innocent
passengers for fulfilling their evil desires. After all, a bus stand plays an
important role in communication. So, government should take proper steps for
the improvement of the bus station.
