A TEA STALL
A
TEA STALL
A tea stall is a small
shop where tea is prepared and supplied to the people. It is a popular place.
It is a common sight in our country. It is found in cities, bazars, towns, railway
stations, bus stands , beside roads, school, college and even in villages.
There are several chairs, tables and benches in a tea stall. Besides tea, biscuits,
cakes, bananas and cigarettes are also sold here. In a tea stall, there is a
boy or two who serve tea to the customers. A stall opens in the morning and
closes at night. People of different ages and classes come here to take a cup
of tea. They take tea and talk with one another. They discuss on various
subjects. They also discuss on village politics, national and international
politics and on current affairs. So a tea stall is also called a mini-sangsad/parliament. Sometimes people raise a storm over a cup of tea.
Actually a tea stall is an important place of social gathering. The customers
spend their free time in the tea stall for extra enjoyment. But it is usually a noisy, dirty, crowded and
disordered place. Indeed a tea stall is an important place of social gathering.
